Since my job at the service station was short lived, I had to find another job to get spending money. My neighbor had a business, and was a bit of a local entrepreneur. His business was doing refrigeration work. He hired me to help him from time to time with jobs he worked on, mostly walk in coolers and refrigerators. He also rebuilt ice makers and I enjoyed helping with that and learning the mechanics of the systems. He eventually got involved in several new businesses’ including doing blow in insulation for houses and business’s. He also owned several rental properties that I would clean and paint as needed. I learned a lot of skills while working with this gentleman and his businesses. I worked with him for a couple of years off and on.
